About me

I was born on 15th September 1973 in Madrid, Spain, as the first son of my parents, Juan (born 5th Sep 1946) and Lucía (born 21st Mar 1949).

Three years later, my brother Sergio was born (17th March 1976). And two years after that, there came my sister, Gema (30th June 1978).

We lived in the Moratalaz district (my parents still live there), and went to the Real Armada primary school.

I studied there until I was 14, when I went to the secondary school, Rey Pastor.

Work

I currently work as a teacher in the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, and as a sysadmin in CLIP Lab and IMDEA Software.

Software

I have written several small but useful programs. Among them, you can find ltrace, judge, remote-logger... I will write more about them shortly.

Debian

I am a Debian Developer since 1998. I maintain a bunch of packages for that great Operating System.

Pictures

Since June, 2002, I have always had a digital camera with me, and I use it quite often; until August 2008, I have taken about 42,000 pictures. I will try to publish some of them soon.

My first digital camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-P51. On March, 2003, I bought a Ricoh Caplio R1V; on January, 2007, a Nikon Coolpix L14. And since January, 2008, I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8.

Caving

One of my favourite hobbies is going underground with friends. Since 2003, I frequent a caving club in Madrid, called Katiuskas.

Geocaching

Geocaching is a very nice activity to practice outdoors, if you have a GPS.

Running

Every now and then, I put on my sneakers and start running, but almost always inside an organized event, like San Silvestre Vallecana or La Melonera.

Contact

You can send me personal e-mail to my first name at my last name dot org. But please, don't use my address to send SPAM, I already have enough of it :-)
